It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve been able to write about games, apart from little big planet 2 it has been horrendously dry… That dry spell is about to come to an end however, on the 22nd we’re scheduled to get Bulletstorm and Killzone 3, both of which have demos out for you to kick the tires on if you see fit.

I had a great time with the Bulletstorm demo, it’s action packed, the weapons were fun, and the combo system sparks some creativity in your carnage which I can appreciate. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to take pride in a leaderboard simple because I don’t have the dedication to get into the top percentile of any game’s user base, so I hope there is more to the story than the demo leads me to believe because shooters with score screens at the end of the level historically don’t do very well in my eyes (example, vanquish).

I played like 5 minutes of the Killzone demo, it’s just multiplayer/bots so you know what you’re getting there, more of their warzone mode, in my limited play time I did see anything new really. I play games like that for the single player anyway so I didn’t really learn anything from the demo apart from that it looks pretty good.

Anyway, I’m kind of excited to have some games on the plate.
