My Copy of Demon’s Souls arrived today, so I’ve popped it in and the opening animation and the audio of the thing were not really impressive, It was clear they were trying to make it epic sounding and what not but it wasn’t very successful in that regard, it sounds like the best orchestra a keyboard can provide! It’s not terrible though, it’s serviceable.
I’ve decided to start with a wanderer… not sure why. I played with the character editor a bit, it was a good try, and it’s alright but a lot of the sliders go from silly to stupid… you can make some awful looking characters with this thing. The menus are truly awful looking though, straight out of the PSone era.
The Intro story was ok I guess. I’ll make it clear that I’m playing this game because it’s unforgiving and hard based on the reviews, I’m not asking it to be uncharted in terms of story and presentation.
2 hours in and I’ve lost everything a couple times already, and despite being back at square one again… I feel like I’m making progress… I’m not sure what the intention is for leveling your character at this point, I understands I need souls to do it… but wow… this is hard, I’ve found myself creeping through the levels at a turtles pace only to become dragon feed. ahhhh well. strategy guide might be worth while on this one. so far so hard.
